Planting trees

If you're like us, your family's carbon dioxide output this past holiday season leaves something to be desired...come and work towards mitigating it by hoisting a shovel and planting some trees! (Even if you had a carbon-neutral holiday, come and plant trees anyway....it's good for the soul :) )

We'll be planting Willamette Valley Ponderosa Pines in our farm's riparian areas as part of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program.
These valley giants will add shade, beauty, and wildlife habitat to our little patch of paradise; feel free to add a little tag to trees you plant so you can come back and visit them.

We'll be planting on Sundays, Feb 18 and Feb 25, from 9am until around noon. We'll provide hot drinks and some snacks...you provide a smile in the face of Oregon weather (with the attendant rain gear) and a shovel if you've got one. Directions are at www.mossbackfarm.com/journal/directions.html

Please RSVP, if you can, so that we know how much food to have on hand.

If those dates don't work for you, and you have a real hankering to get some trees in the ground, drop me a line and we can set something up...I'll be planting a lot from the 18th to the end of the month.

We hope to see you here!
